Technology
A digital twin is heavy science: hundreds of millions of points, Gigapixel surfaces, spectral stacks. Moving, processing and serving that requires high-performance computing. Our job is making that power invisible: the museum sees a browser tab.
Mesh reconstruction, texturing, Gigapixel tiling and metadata run on GPU workers in the cloud: hours of supercomputer work per artwork, none of it on your hardware.
Algorithms compare scans across time and flag sub-millimeter change: cracks, warping, paint loss, before the eye can see them.
Geometry and texture stream as levels of detail: the GPU only holds what is on screen. A 5 GB master runs at 60 fps on a five-year-old phone, streamed like an ordinary movie.
Every file's fingerprint gets a certain timestamp at capture: provenance and integrity you can prove, forever.
Storage, compute and distribution scale across independent nodes; institutions keep their keys and their data sovereignty. The network →
Encrypted, versioned, replicated. The institution owns every right to its data, and can take it away: export is always available.
Interoperability
A digitization project should end with a certified delivery, not with a hard drive. The HUB ships with a connector layer for state systems, starting with Italy's Digital Library.
The new era for art
When the work means processing enormous volumes of data, coordinating GPUs, analysis algorithms and AI under heavy loads, moving files of several gigabytes each, and still delivering all of it to everyone on the device in their hands, a record-keeping system from another era cannot carry the weight.
And the challenge is no longer just technical. Museums are evolving into increasingly complex organizations, where exhibitions, budget and conservation pull on the same collection at once. The people who manage it deserve tools built for that reality.
This is what AerariumChain is for: supporting those who run great collections and institutions, public and private, by putting these technologies at everyone's service.
| Legacy collection management | AerariumChain HUB | |
|---|---|---|
| What it holds | Records and photographs | Certified 3D, Gigapixel and spectral twins |
| Diagnostics | Manual notes at inspection time | AI comparison between scans, on demand |
| Access | Workstation clients, exports | Streams full resolution to any device |
| Scale | One record at a time | Terabytes per artwork, GPU pipeline |
| Delivery to state systems | Manual packaging | Automated certified packages (METS) |
| Beyond the archive | Not covered | Experiences and fundraising built on the twin |
Already running another system? Considering an integration, or a replacement? Both paths are ours every week.
